This free tool forecasts ant nuptial flights — the brief windows when winged queens and males take to the air — for any point in the United States. Pick a species, drop a pin, set a radius, and it cross-references community iNaturalist alate observations with hourly Open-Meteo weather (temperature, humidity, wind, rain, even lunar phase) to score the next 14 days, hour by hour through the dusk window. A flight day only counts when multiple independent observers reported alates the same day in the same area — single sightings are usually foraging workers, not flights.
Our southeastern nuptial flight study of 7,620 observations found June, May and July hold 64% of recorded flights, and about half of all records belong to dusk or after-dark fliers — this tool turns that kind of signal into a local forecast.
