Using industry-leading fabrication techniques, TrapJaw Labs presents our Conservatory nest series, designed from the ground up to provide an immersive keeping experience for fungus-growing ants. These museum-quality nests provide an unrivaled view into the fascinating symbiotic relationships between ants, fungus, and beneficial microbes.

Humidity & Hydration

Humidity is crucial for fungus garden health, and the Conservatory integrates a generous humidity tray to provide constant evaporative humidity within the nest. Two stone hydration zones let keepers boost internal moisture directly where it's needed, which is especially helpful for smaller colonies.

Modular Viewing System

Interchangeable domes and flat-top panels allow keepers to customize the Conservatory to best meet their ants' needs, dramatically expanding the species compatibility list. Our domes are custom-made for this purpose and feature scratch-resistant cast acrylic.

Optional red acrylic Dark Dome covers reduce light reaching the nest, which can lower stress during sensitive founding stages and increase queen sightings in large colonies.
