Not really. Trap-jaw Ants are for advanced Ant-Keepers. They're a challenging species, but are completely unique among ants.
Our Florida Trap-jaw Ants need pre-killed insects 2 to 4 times a week, a humid nest, and substrate in the nest so their larvae can spin cocoons. If you're starting from a queen, she has to be fed while she founds, ideally 3-5 times a week.
Most species have a brutal sting, and they can snap their jaws against the ground to launch themselves out of an open outworld. A lidded setup and Fluon are mandatory.
Our care guide has more information on keeping them.
